Today, we celebrate a big milestone with an official inauguration of Mille Food’s production facility.
Both the Chinese Ambassador to Denmark, Deng Ying, and Minister for Employment, Troels Lund Poulsen took part in the official opening of our factory in Hundested. During which they witnessed the first shipment of infant milk formula departing to China.
A unique company which has a great potential, based to a large extent on the increasing market demand. I very much look forward to closely follow your progress and observe how you will take advantage and explore the many opportunities ahead of you, Troels Lund Poulsen said during the ceremony.
The plan to build a production plant was set in motion during the summer of 2016, as extensive regulatory changes of the Chinese infant milk formula industry were announced. Wanting to improve the brand transparency and ensure the quality of infant formula sold in Chinese supermarkets, the Chinese government implemented a variety of initiatives to take effect from January 2018.
Chinese parents are very careful when it comes to the food their children are consuming. They do not mind spending a long time researching products, only to ensure their choice of formula brand is suited exactly to the needs of their child.
Deng Ying pointed out that Chinese consumers perceive the products of Mille and other Danish companies as trustworthy and of good quality. This means great potential for Danish companies.
At Mille Food, we fully understand the urge of making sure that your children receive a healthy and nutritious diet, which is why we carefully handpick all the ingredients used in our products. At our production plant in Hundested, Denmark, we enforce strict quality measures to ensure that our products uphold the best standards – as CEO Steve Wang says – we can and we will deliver the best infant milk formula to China.
